You could come by and see if you like the place? There's toooooons of space, we could fit like a whole army in here. It's just me and Juza right now though.

Is your NAME Saber? Like a sword?

I would like that, although I'm sure the quarters are acceptable.

Yeah, Saber, that's definitely cool. Did you want to join the Knights of Bastion or just need a place to stay?

I am merely looking for a place to stay at this time.

Gotcha gotcha. That totally works! Maybe you'll want to join one day, but it's not required or nothing. When do you want to stop by? Today?

Go for it! I'll hang out the rest of the day. I'm clearing out this big room that was probably for dancing or something to turn into a training arena! Let yourself in.

[ And true to her word, she does. She knocks on the door, waits for an answer, and then lets herself in, booted feet clicking on the floor. ]

[Soren was in the ballroom... basically trashing the place to remake it for something he deemed more useful. Saber will enter and her a sound like glass shattering in the east wing of the massive home. If she heads that way to inspect, she'll find Soren looking cheery as he picks up some shards of a mirror he... straight up broke off the wall. Getting rid of that!

He'll notice and turn to her, smiling]

Hey! You made it! Welcome and all that. Don't mind the mess, making this less... uh... creepy? [the ballroom was a good training space, in his opinion, because the far wall was basically all large, out swinging doors that could opened into the garden, making the space very bright and full of fresh air. However, the wall opposite was equally tall mirrors, reflecting out to a dance floor. Seemed... wierd to him. He didn't like. Who wants to be distracted with watching themselves? No thanks.]

[ The sound of shattering glass makes her start, but after she realizes it's just her host doing his renovating, she settles a little. The lion's tail she's picked up sways behind her as she strides into the ballroom and gives it an appraising look. ]

It doesn't seem particularly creepy at the moment...

[ Still, not what she's here for. ]

There certainly seems to be quite a lot of space.

[Soren sets aside some glass shards and takes his gloves off, tucking them into his belt. When he approaches, it's to give a normal handshake... though he offers her a fistbump after if she takes it. He has some idea of manners, Soren's just not executing them fully.]

There is! The place is huuuge. Plenty of space if you're looking to stay a while.

[ Saber accepts the handshake with a nod. Soren reminds her a little of some the knights she's known. ]

That was the idea; the barracks are adequate, but something a bit more suitable seemed prudent.

The barracks were pretty cramped, yeah. [he stayed there just the first couple nights, but once he found out a bunch of rich people's stuff was up for grabs, he yoinked a pair of keys.]

This place is practically a castle! And with just me and Juza, there's plenty of free space. I like company, so feel free to pick a room out. I think we're only using a few of them, right now.

Not quite a castle. But certainly an estate...

[ Saber glances at the high ceiling with a little node. It'll do. She'll have to take a look around. ]

Do you mind if I look around?

An estate! I like that. Should call it that from now on. And, uh, [he looks between the mess of this room and then where she came from. Yeah. He should give a better tour than this.]

I'll show you around! Or! You can wander around and I'll just point out what's what. Most of the living sorta space is down here and the bedrooms up on the second floor.

If you could show me the sleeping quarters, I would be very grateful.

[ He's enthusiastic; that's probably a good thing. ]

It's just the two of you currently, yes?

Yep! Just me and Juza, but the place is soooo big! It'll be good to have someone else around. You don't mind if we invite more people to stay, right? You'd get some final say, you know, if you didn't like them or whatever. [but if they invited another person, it should get run by all three of them, right?

Soren is not a tyranical king, that's for certain.]

I know Juza already okayed you so I'm cool with it.

Oh, no, I don't mind. I tend to keep to myself for the most part, so as long as my privacy is respected, I cannot object.

[ Here's to not being tyrants? Yeah, that sounds good. ]

More people might be a good idea, honestly. It feels empty.

Definitely! If you know anybody who wants a room, just let us know. I'll probably ask around again, maybe if another batch of people fall through those mirrors.

[he shows her up to the second floor and yep. There's two long hallways into each wing of the house and both are lined with rooms. Soren's and Juza's are at the front end, obviously the only lived in space, so clearly there's plenty of space for Saber to distance herself for better privacy.]

You used to living with a bunch of people?

Yes; I lived in a castle, actually. Full of people. It was busy.

[ Still, there's something fond in her voice. ]

Although I do not mind the quiet, either.

Yeah, same! Castle I grew up in was always full of people. Especially around the King. [hmm, maybe best to not get further into that, Soren doesn't want to kill the casual mood here]

It's quiet now, but I want to have some real big parties around here soon. Just need to work up to it. [Wilder missions and quests don't exactly pay amazing, but Soren is happy with the work he's done so far]

I am not much of a... "party person", but I hope that you're able to hold your celebrations.

[ She's being polite. ]

Everyone needs those.

[ Except her. She will just soldier on until she dies. ]

You'll always be invited to them, even if you don't want to stay long! I'll give you some fair warning. In case you're not in a party mood.

[only fair, right? Suddenly having a massive rager burst out around you sounds fun to Soren, but probably not very... considerate to their new housemate.]

[ Although odds are she won't attend many ragers. It's not her scene. ]

This seems adequate to my needs. I don't have many possessions, so I can move in almost immediately, if you'll allow it.
